Ms Georgina Archer - Chair
Ms Archer is a Torres Strait Islander who has worked in schools, including leadership positions, for more than 30 years. Ms Archer was appointed Chair of the QIECC in February 2007.
Ms Jane Ceolin
Ms Ceolin has been the Executive Officer, Indigenous Education, with the Queensland Catholic Education Commission since 2001.
Mr Des Crump
A private consultant with a Masters in Education, Mr Crump is a specialist in the fields of Guidance and Counselling and has over 21 years experience as teacher, guidance officer and public servant within the State Education system. Mr Crump is currently involved in curriculum development and Indigenous program support in the Anglican school system.
Mr Ned David
Of the Kulkalgal Nation, Mr David has spent most of his life in the Torres Strait. Chair of the Torres Strait Islander Regional Education Council, Mr David is actively involved in negotiating commitments of government and community to improve students' learning throughout the Torres Strait.
Mr Beresford Domic
Mr Domic has been involved in Indigenous community issues and Indigenous education for a number of years, in particular in the early childhood area.
Mr Albert Holt
A widely respected Elder, Mr Holt brings extensive experience working with all sectors of education, mainly in the Inala area.
Mr Darran Kennedy
Mr Kennedy has extensive experience in both the public and the private sectors in project management and policy development in the Indigenous policy area, most recently in education.
Ms Joann Schmider
Currently residing in Cairns, Ms Schmider has been involved as a practitioner and advocate in Indigenous education and training since the mid 1970's, including in the ACT and on Indigenous Education Consultative Bodies (IECB's), and at a national level, promoting the 21 NATSIEP goals, especially Indigenous involvement in education making.
Mr Ron Weatherall
Currently the Regional Development Manager in Employment and Indigenous Initiatives within Central Queensland for the Department of Employment and Industrial Relations, Mr Weatherall also has extensive experience in Indigenous vocational education and training in Queensland.
